How we measure
We monitor progress across our three pillars using field records, community follow-up and partner data.
| Strategic pillar | Outcomes tracked | Evidence sources |
|---|---|---|
| Animal Welfare | Animals treated and vaccinated; mobile clinics held; injured animals rescued & rehabilitated; school children enrolled in humane education clubs; working donkey harness injuries. | County Veterinary registries & mobile clinic intake logs |
| Jigger Eradication | People screened and treated; homes treated and floors sealed; schools certified jigger-free; changes in baseline tungiasis prevalence; primary school attendance recovery. | Door-to-door CHP surveys, school registers, Maseno Univ benchmarks |
| Youth Livelihoods & Healthy Homes | Young people trained & certified; monthly artisan income levels; youth social enterprises and cooperatives established; homes and animal shelters constructed per month. | VSLA savings audits, contractor certification records |
Every shilling and dollar directly funds community health, animal welfare, and youth jobs.
Accountability
Our commitments protect the people we serve and uphold the trust placed in our work.
We uphold strict ethical storytelling. Beneficiary photos are taken only with verified informed consent, and we strictly forbid sensationalist or dehumanizing images of infested feet.
Zero tolerance for child abuse or neglect. All staff, volunteers, and artisans undergo background vetting, safeguarding training, and adhere to Kenya's Children Act.
Full financial transparency with annual accounts audited by certified independent auditors and submitted to Kenya's NGO Coordination Board and development partners.
Confidential community hotlines and village complaint desks ensure feedback, grievances, and praise directly inform leadership decisions.
SoleGuard Alliance is committed to lean operational overhead, allocating the overwhelming majority of funding directly to rural mobile clinics, floor construction materials, and artisan toolkits.
Independent statutory audit performed according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
