Three pillars, one connected approach
Pillar 01
Pillar 1: Priority Focus
Animal Welfare
Healthy animals safeguard human wellbeing and community prosperity
Our goal
Every animal in the communities we serve is healthy, protected from cruelty and treated humanely, safeguarding both animal wellbeing and human health.

Our response
How we work
Practical, community-led action across the pillar.
Community Animal Health Clinics
Mobile and outreach clinics offering primary treatment, deworming, parasite and jigger control, wound care, and basic veterinary care directly at village level.
Mass Vaccination Campaigns
Mass rabies vaccination drives for domestic dogs and cats, plus livestock immunizations in close partnership with county veterinary departments.
Rescue & Rehabilitation
Humane medical care for injured, abused, and abandoned animals, with community foster programs and responsible local rehoming.
Working Animal Welfare
Promoting humane handling, proper harness fabrication, adequate rest, water points, and nutrition for hard-working donkeys and oxen.
Humane Population Management
Organizing targeted sterilization and spay/neuter drives for companion animals to reduce stray populations humanely.
Humane Education in Schools
Animal welfare clubs and curriculum in primary schools, fostering empathy, kindness, and responsible animal ownership among the youth.
Healthy Animal Housing
Supporting households to construct separate, ventilated animal shelters so animals no longer sleep inside family living quarters.
Advocacy & Policy Enforcement
Working hand-in-hand with county governments and law enforcement to strengthen and enforce Kenya's animal welfare protections.
Expected Strategic Results
How All Three Pillars Multiply Each Other
Healthy animals eliminate sand-flea and rabies reservoirs. Jigger-free homes ensure children remain enrolled in school. Skilled youth artisans and para-vets provide the local workforce that keeps the system running.
